When it rains, there is leakage through the roof and roof details in many places throughout the warehouse and production part of the hall.
Detailed description: The roof covering is made of modified asphalt strips with slate sprinkle. Skylight structures, lightning rod and ventilation chimneys protrude above the level of the roof covering. The drainage of the roof covering is solved by the falling of rainwater into drainage valleys with a drainage inlet.
Defects: The roof covering showed various types of defects that led to the disruption of the roof covering and to leakage. Places were found in the roof area where the waterproofing modified asphalt strip is significantly cracked, this is caused by the degradation of the strip. This is the so-called CROCKODYLING - loss of SBS modifier and thus the internal elasticity of the strip is reduced. Locally, no places with a wrinkled base or places without protective sprinkle were found. Due to UV degradation, the protective slate covering was released from the ASF strips and subsequently washed into the drainage areas, where the drains were clogged, thereby retaining rainwater and forming lagoons. Leaks in the waterproofing of the asphalt strips were found mainly in the details, namely in the places where the structures were embedded in the substrate (skylights and chimneys). Leaks were also found in the area where individual ASF pairs were connected to each other.
